This guide provides detailed instructions for configuring a Telnyx SIP trunk with your RingQ account using IP-based connection. Unlike the registered method, a peer connection relies on IP authentication, eliminating the need for SIP credentials and enabling a direct, secure connection between RingQ and Telnyx.

Telnyx Account
1. Navigate to Menus Real-time Communications> Voice> SIP Trunking
2. Click on Create SIP Connections

Telnyx IP based configuration
3. Enter the Trunk Name
4. Select Type as IP address
5. Click on the create button

Add the RingQ public IP Address
6. Add the RINGQ Public IP address.
7. To add a prefix, use the Tech Prefix field.

Telnyx SIP Trunk configuration
8. In the Configurations tab, select an Anchor Site based on your location. The remaining values can be left as default.

Telnyx Inbound Settings
9. In the Inbound Settings:

Telnyx outbound settings
10. In the outbound settings tab:
11. Click Next

Add DID
12. In the Connection settings tab, click on Assign DID Number to this Trunk to configure the DID

Assign or Buy DID
13. To assign an existing DID number, click the Assign button
14. Click on Buy DID to purchase a DID number

Telnyx assigned DID
14. Once assigned you will see the number on the trunk
15. Click Complete.

SIP Trunk configuration
1. Login to your RingQ instance
2. Go to Settings> Call Flow> SIP

SIP Templates
3. Click on Supported SIP templates

Select your country
4. Select the country that you want to configure
5. Select the provider Logo
6. Select the IP-Based Template

Configure your Telnyx SIP Trunk in RingQ
7. Enter the trunk name
8. Leave the username & password fields empty
9. Enter the Outbound caller id that you like to use as the main number
10. Click “Create”

Registered Trunk
11. The SIP Trunk is now registered and the status will be green

Configuring outbound rules in RingQ
1. Go to Settings> Global Settings> Outbound rules

Add an outbound rule
2. Click on “Outbound Rule +”

Enter your outbound rule
3. Enter the Rule Name and prefix details
4. Select Route as Telnyx SIP

Configure an inbound rule in RingQ
1. Goto Settings> Call Flow> Add DID

Add a DID
2. Click on the “Add DID number” button (shown above)

Add a DID in RingQ
3. Enter the DID number
4. Click Create

Drag and drop your DID
5. The DID will be in the Available DID Numbers list
6. Click on the DID number and Drag it to where needed

Create an IVR
7. When you drop the DID number you will be given the option to create an extension/IVR/Queue or add to an existing extension/IVR/Queue
