Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about RingQ, VoIP, and cloud communications — answered.

Getting Started

RingQ is a cloud-native PBX and contact center platform that brings voice, messaging, and collaboration channels together in one place. It runs on your existing internet connection with no hardware required for hosted deployments.

Yes. You can sign up for a 30-day free trial with full access to all features — no credit card required. Visit our Free Trial page to get started.

RingQ offers three deployment models: Hosted (fully managed by RingQ), Self-Hosted (deploy on your own cloud using our ISO or marketplace listing), and On-Premise (install on your own dedicated server). All options run the same platform and feature set.

RingQ provides technical support via email, live chat, and phone during business hours. Enterprise and hosted customers receive priority support with faster response SLAs.

VoIP & Telephony

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) routes voice calls over your internet connection instead of traditional phone lines. It typically costs significantly less than PSTN calls and enables features — call recording, IVR, CRM screen pops, and analytics — that legacy phone systems can't offer.

A PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is the phone system that manages internal and external calls for an organization. It handles routing, extensions, voicemail, and call handling rules. Modern PBX systems like RingQ are software-based and run entirely in the cloud.

A Cloud PBX hosts your phone system on remote servers managed by your provider rather than on-site hardware. You access it via the internet — no physical maintenance, lower upfront costs, and the ability to add or move extensions from anywhere in the world.

UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) combines voice, video, messaging, and collaboration tools into a single cloud platform. Instead of managing separate systems for calls, chat, and video, UCaaS provides everything under one subscription.

CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) delivers contact center capabilities — inbound and outbound calling, queuing, IVR, advanced reporting, and omnichannel support — as a cloud service. RingQ Cloud CX is a full CCaaS platform.

UCaaS focuses on internal team communication (calls, video, chat between employees). CCaaS focuses on customer-facing interactions and adds advanced routing, agent management, wallboards, and analytics on top. RingQ covers both use cases in one platform.

Omnichannel means managing customer interactions across multiple channels — voice, WhatsApp, SMS, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and live chat — from a single agent interface. Agents see the full conversation history regardless of which channel the customer used.

Pricing & Plans

RingQ is priced on concurrent calls rather than per-seat. You pay for the number of simultaneous calls your business needs, not the total number of users. This makes it cost-effective for teams with fluctuating call volumes.

Single-tenant gives you a dedicated cloud instance with no shared resources — nothing is impacted by other customers on the platform. Multi-tenant shares infrastructure across customers, making it more affordable while still delivering the full RingQ feature set.

There are no setup fees for hosted plans. Self-hosted and on-premise deployments may require a one-time license fee depending on the scale. Contact our sales team for a custom quote.

Integrations & Compatibility

RingQ has been fully tested with providers across the USA, Canada, Australia, Asia, and more. Supported providers are pre-configured so setup is automatic. View the full list on our Supported SIP Trunks page.

Yes. RingQ integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive, and more. CRM integration enables screen pops on incoming calls, click-to-dial from your CRM, and automatic call logging. See our CRM Integration page for the complete list.

Security & Compliance

Yes. RingQ holds ISO 27001 certification for information security management. See our Compliance Center for certification details.

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Hosted deployments run in SOC 2 compliant infrastructure. You can review our full security controls, policies, and compliance documentation in the Security Center.

RingQ includes built-in controls to help businesses comply with robocall regulations (TCPA, STIR/SHAKEN, and regional equivalents). Our compliance documentation covers what is required and how RingQ's outbound dialing tools support it.
