Voicemail (7878): How to Check Voicemail on RingQ

Introduction

You can check your voicemail from the RingQ desktop app, the RingQ mobile app, or a desk phone by dialing 7878. This guide walks you through logging in to your voicemail box and playing your messages, which takes less than two minutes.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following:

  • A registered device: The RingQ desktop or mobile app open and showing Online with your extension number, or a desk phone registered to your extension.
  • Your extension number: This is also your voicemail box number.
  • Your voicemail PIN: Provided by your administrator.

Checking Your Voicemail

  1. Dial 7878: On the RingQ app keypad or your desk phone, enter 7878 and press call.
  2. Open the DTMF keypad: In the desktop or mobile app, tap DTMF on the in-call screen once the call connects. On a desk phone, use the phone's keypad.
  3. Enter your extension: When prompted for your mailbox, enter your extension number followed by # (for example, 5011#).
  4. Enter your PIN: When prompted for your password, enter your voicemail PIN followed by #.
  5. Listen to your messages: From the main menu, press 1 to play your new messages.
  6. Replay a message: After a message plays, press 1 to hear it again.
  7. Hang up: When you're done, tap the red end-call button or put down the handset.

Troubleshooting

  • Keys not recognized: In the apps, make sure you're entering digits on the in-call DTMF keypad, not the main dialer.
  • PIN rejected: Check that you pressed # after your PIN. If it still fails, ask your administrator to reset it.
  • Call won't connect: Confirm the app shows Online, or that your desk phone is registered, before dialing 7878.
