SMS Providers Overview
RingQ lets your team send and receive business text messages (SMS) right inside RingQ Chat. Customers text your business number, a chat opens for the right queue, and agents reply from the web app or the RingQ mobile app. Each SMS number can use its own provider, so you can mix providers on one RingQ system.
Supported SMS providers
| Provider | Messages | Best for | What you need |
|---|---|---|---|
| Telnyx | SMS | Worldwide numbers | API key |
| Twilio | SMS | Worldwide numbers | Account SID and Auth token |
| Australian Phone | SMS | Australian 614 mobile numbers | API key issued by Australian Phone |
| Generic | SMS (and RCS if the provider supports it) | Any provider with an HTTP API | The provider's send URL and key |
| Commio | SMS and RCS | USA and Canada, rich RCS messages | Username, API token, webhook secret |
How it works
- Add the number in RingQ and pick its provider. RingQ fills in everything except your account details.
- Save. RingQ shows a Webhook URL for your provider. Paste it into your provider's portal so incoming texts reach RingQ.
- Use Send test message to check that a real text arrives.
Try before you buy
Not ready with a provider account yet? Switch on the Simulator for a number. RingQ then answers like that provider would, so you can test Chat, queues and your own software without sending a real SMS or paying for one.
Your keys stay private
Provider keys are stored only on your own RingQ server. After saving they are always shown masked, and only admins can add or change SMS numbers.
