Call Landing for Queues

Introduction

Call Landing in RingQ enhances the way queue calls are handled by automatically displaying the right information the moment an agent receives a call. When a call is routed through a queue, Call Landing can trigger an external URL, open a connected CRM page, or launch a Local Contact record — all without the agent needing to search manually.

This guide explains how Call Landing behaves specifically with queue calls, what options are available, and how administrators can configure it to match their workflows. By setting up Call Landing correctly, you ensure agents have instant context, faster response times, and a more seamless caller experience.

Setting Up Call Landing for Queue Calls

  • Call Landing Open Local Contact: The Call Landing feature determines what information is automatically displayed to an agent when an inbound call is received. When the option Open Local Contact is selected, the system performs an automatic lookup against the application’s local contact database.
  • Call Landing Open External URL or CRM: This setting allows the system to automatically open a third-party webpage or CRM record when an incoming call occurs. Instead of pulling from local contacts, the platform routes the agent directly to an external resource you’ve configured.
  • Call Landing Open Both: The Open Both setting combines the behavior of the internal contact page and an external URL/CRM. When an inbound call arrives, the system launches bith options simultaneously. This mode is intended for environments where agents need both internal contact data and external system data immediately when a call comes in.
