How to Configure AI Voice Settings

Welcome to the AI Voice Settings Guide for RingQ. This step-by-step tutorial will walk you through how to personalize your AI’s voice and behavior. You’ll learn how to adjust voice responses, create custom prompts, and fine-tune other voice settings to match your preferences.

Step 1: Log Into Your RingQ Account


1. Open Your Browser: Launch your preferred web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
2. Sign In to RingQ: Navigate to the RingQ login page and enter your username and password.
3. Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the RingQ dashboard.

Step 2: Reveal the Side Menu in RingQ


1. Locate the Menu Button: On the RingQ dashboard, find the “Show Side Menu” button located in the top-left corner of the screen. This button is represented by a three-line (hamburger) icon.
2. Click to Open the Menu: Click the hamburger icon to open the side menu, which will display various settings and options available within the app.

Step 3: Navigate to the Settings Section


1. Open Settings: In the side menu, locate and click on Settings to access the app’s configuration options.
2. Access Global Settings: Within the settings menu, click the dropdown arrow next to Settings to reveal additional options.
3. Select Global Settings: From the dropdown, click Global to access the global settings where you can manage integrations and other essential configurations.

Step 4: Configure AI Voice Settings
Language Selection


1. In the AI Settings section, locate and click on Language. This will allow you to choose the language for your AI’s voice.
2. Choose a Language: From the language dropdown, select the desired language. Options will include the languages supported by your AI system (e.g., English, Spanish, French, etc.).
3. Save Your Changes: After selecting your preferred language, click Save to apply the changes.

Customize AI Responses


1. Under the AI Settings section, scroll down to the Response Settings.
2. Modify Default Responses: Select from the list of predefined responses or click on the “Add Selection” button to input a custom response that will be triggered when the AI interacts with a caller.
3. Save Custom Response: After inputting your new response, click Save to store the changes.

Step 5: Set Up Connect Keywords


1. Define Trigger Keywords: In the Connect Keywords section, you can define specific words or phrases that, when spoken by the caller, will prompt the AI to provide context-based responses.
2. Add New Keywords: To add a new keyword, click the “Add Keyword” button and enter the word or phrase.
3. Save Your Keywords: After adding your keywords, click Save to confirm the changes. The AI will now recognize these words and respond with relevant information based on the context you have provided in RingQ.

Step 6: Configure Silence Duration and Actions


1. Adjust Silence Duration: In the Silence Duration section, click the dropdown to choose the duration in seconds before the AI triggers an action. This controls how long the AI will wait for a response before taking action.
2. Choose Action: After selecting the silence duration, click on the Action button to select the appropriate action to be triggered when the silence threshold is met (e.g., prompt a reminder, repeat instructions, etc.).
3. Set Invalid Attempt Threshold: Under Invalid Attempts, select how many failed attempts the AI should tolerate before triggering the action.
4. Save Your Configuration: After selecting the action and invalid attempt settings, click Save to confirm the changes.

Step 7: Customize Greetings


1. Modify Greetings: In the Custom Greetings section, you can edit the greetings that the AI will speak after the language has been selected.
2. Add New Greeting: Click the “Add Greetings” button, input your custom greeting text, and then click Save to apply your changes.
3. Save Your Greeting: Ensure you click Save after editing your greeting to ensure it is stored correctly.

Step 8: Configure Waiting Responses


1. Set Waiting Responses: In the Custom Waiting section, configure responses that the AI will randomly trigger while waiting for a user response. These could include phrases like “Please wait while I process your request”.
2. Add Custom Waiting Responses: To add new waiting responses, click the “Add Waiting” button, input your custom text, and then click Save.
3. Save Your Changes: After configuring your waiting responses, click Save to apply the changes.

Step 9: Manage Interruptions


1. Customize Interruptions: In the Custom Interruptions section, choose the type of response the AI should provide when a caller interrupts the AI.
2. Add New Interruptions: Click the “Add Interruptions” button, input your custom interruption responses, and click Save.
3. Save Interruptions: Be sure to save your custom interruption settings to ensure they are active in the system.

Step 10: Select and Configure Voice


1. Choose AI Voice: In the Voice section, click the Voice Dropdown button to select from the available RingQ AI Voice options. This allows you to pick the tone and style of the voice used by the AI.
2. Adjust Voice Speed: Use the Voice Speed dropdown to adjust the speed of the AI’s speech. Options typically range from slow, normal, to fast.
3. Clear Voice Cache: If you’d like to reset the voice settings to the default, click Clear Cache to remove any previously used voice settings.
4. Save Changes: After adjusting the voice and speed settings, click Save to apply the configuration.

Step 11: Customize Prompts


1. Edit AI Prompts: In the Prompt section, you can edit the instructions that the AI will follow when interacting with the caller. Prompts guide the AI on how to handle various scenarios.
2. Add New Prompts: Click the “Add Prompt” button, enter your new prompt, and click Save.
3. Save Changes: Ensure to click Save after modifying or adding new prompts

Step 12: Add Context Information


1. Define AI Context: The Context section allows you to define the information that the AI will use to respond to callers. This is where you can store frequently used information, such as product details or support scripts.
2. Add New Context: To add new context, click “Add Context”, enter the information you want to be available to the AI, and click Save.
3. Save Your Context: After adding the necessary context, click Save to ensure the AI has access to the information.

After configuring all the desired settings, ensure that you review all your changes and click Save where applicable. You can test the settings by interacting with the AI to verify that the adjustments work as expected.
