RingQ Notifications on iOS
Introduction
This guide shows you how to enable or disable notifications from your RingQ app on your iOS device. You can choose to be notified only for specific actions—or not at all—and also learn how to manage your iPhone’s Do Not Disturb settings.
Enable System-Level Notifications

1. First, ensure that iOS has granted the app permission to “wake up” your phone for an incoming call.
2. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap RingQ.
- Tap Notifications.
- Toggle Allow Notifications.
- Pro-Tip: Ensure Banners, Notification Center, and Lock Screen are all checked.
- Set Banner Style to Persistent if you don’t want to miss call alerts while using other apps.
Configure In-App Settings

Once the system permissions are set, you must verify that the app’s internal “Push” features are active.
1. Open the RingQ app.
2. Tap on your Profile/Settings icon (usually in the top-left or bottom-right corner).
3. Look for Notification Settings or Push Notifications.
4. Ensure Push Notifications are toggled ON.
Note: This allows the RingQ server to send a “wake-up” signal to your iPhone for incoming calls/chats.
(Optional) Under Incoming Calls, you can usually select a specific ringtone to distinguish business calls from personal ones.
“Do Not Disturb” & Focus Settings

If your notifications are still not appearing, your iPhone’s Focus Mode might be blocking them.
1. Go to Settings > Focus.
2. If you use Do Not Disturb or Work mode, tap on it.
3. Tap Apps under the “Allowed Notifications” section.
4. Tap Add (+) and select RingQ to ensure calls get through even when your phone is silenced.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Delayed Alerts: Ensure Background App Refresh is enabled for RingQ in Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
- No Sound: Check that your physical Mute switch (on the side of your iPhone) is not flipped to red, and that your “Ringer and Alerts” volume is turned up in Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
- App Refresh: If notifications stop working after an iOS update, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to reset the “Push Token.”
