RingQ Hardware & Platform Requirements
General System Requirements
To ensure optimal performance and stability, ensure your system meets the following hardware and network requirements:
Processor (CPU)
- Minimum: Intel Core i3 (8th Gen or newer) or equivalent AMD processor
- Recommended (Enterprise use): Intel Core i5 (10th Gen or newer) or equivalent AMD Ryzen 5
Notes:
- Multi-core processors are preferred for better multitasking performance.
- Virtual environments may require additional CPU resources.
Memory (RAM)
- Minimum: 4 GB
- Recommended: 8 GB or higher
Notes:
- Systems running additional applications or services (e.g., databases, monitoring agents) should consider 16 GB or more.
- Sufficient RAM ensures smooth operation and faster response times, especially in multi-user or high-load scenarios.
Network Connectivity
- Minimum: Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps LAN)
- Recommended: Dedicated high-speed wired connection
Notes:
- Wi-Fi is acceptable for non-critical operations but may introduce latency.
- Ensure low-latency and stable connectivity for real-time features (e.g., VoIP, live collaboration tools).
Storage
- Minimum: 50 GB of free disk space
- Recommended: 70 GB or more (SSD preferred)
Notes:
- SSDs significantly improve system performance and reduce application load times.
- Additional space may be required for logs, backups, or media files depending on system use.
General System Requirements:
Component | Minimum Requirement | Recommended (Enterprise Use) | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Processor (CPU) | Intel Core i3 (8th Gen or newer) or equivalent AMD | Intel Core i5 (10th Gen or newer) or AMD Ryzen 5 |
- Multi-core processors preferred for multitasking.
- Virtual environments may require additional CPU resources. |
Memory (RAM) | 4GB | 8GB or higher |
- 16 GB or more recommended for systems running extra applications (e.g., databases).
- More RAM ensures smoother performance in high-load scenarios. |
Network Connectivity | Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps LAN) | Dedicated high-speed wired connection |
- Wi-Fi is okay for non-critical use but may introduce latency.
- Low-latency and stable connection needed for real-time operations (e.g., VoIP). |
Storage | 50 GB free disk space | 70 GB or more (SSD preferred) |
- SSDs boost performance and reduce load times.
- Extra space may be needed for logs, backups, or media files. |
Resource allocation for 1500 extensions spread across 75 subdomains:
Component | Base Allocation | Notes |
---|---|---|
Processor (CPU) | Intel Core i5 (10th Gen+) / AMD Ryzen 5 |
- Multicore CPUs preferred; VMs may need more cores for load balancing and concurrent calls.
- +1 CPU per 2 subdomains |
Memory (RAM) | 8GB |
- 8 GB base + 75 GB = 83 GB
- Consider 16 GB+ if hosting extra services (e.g., DBs). - +1 GB per subdomain |
Network | Dedicated 1 Gbps Ethernet | Essential for real-time operations (VoIP). Consider bonding or failover for reliability. |
Storage | 70 GB SSD |
- 70 GB base + (75 × 20 GB) = 1,570 GB
- SSDs strongly recommended for speed. - +20 GB per subdomain |
Key Adjustments Based on Recommendations:
- RAM base increased from 2 GB → 8 GB (enterprise-grade minimum).
- Storage base increased from 30 GB → 70 GB (SSD recommended).
- Total RAM and storage increased accordingly.
