Configuring Global Settings

Introduction


This guide walks system administrators through configuring global settings in RingQ, focusing on Language preferences and Office Hours. These settings define the default behavior of the platform—such as system language, business hours, and call routing logic outside of working hours. Proper configuration ensures a consistent experience for both users and callers, aligning RingQ with your organization’s operational needs.

Global Settings


1. Login to your RingQ web app. From the left-hand side menu go to “Settings” > “Global”
2. Under the Setup section, click on the “Language and Office Hours” button.

Global Office Hours (Setting Global Office Hours)


1. Click on the day to modify the time.
2. Drag the dots on the circle to define your global office hours.
3. Click “OK”.
4. Repeat the same process for every day of the week.

Non-Office Hours Action

In the “Non-Office Hours Action” option select what you want the system to do in the event of a call during non-working hours.Click on the drop-down button to select an extension, customized number, or action.

Global Break Hours


1. Click on the day to modify the time.
2. Drag the dots on the circle to define your global office hours.
3. Click “OK”.
4. Repeat the same process for every day of the week.

Break Time Action

In the “Break Time Action” option select what you want the system to do in the event of a call during break times.

Exempt from Holidays


  • When enabled, the local holiday won’t be applicable to the extension.
  • Choose the extension you want to add from the dropdown.

Global Holidays


1. Click on the “Create Holiday” button.
2. Fill in the required fields:

  • Name – i.e. Christmas, Thanksgiving.
  • Audio file – upload an audio file to be played to callers.
  • Date
  • Select time – add whether you want the holiday to be all day or during specific times.
  • Check the “Recurring” box if you want the holiday to repeat every year.

3. Click “Create”.
